World Asthma Day: Asthma in children – often undetected, often not treated properly
Asthma is the most common chronic respiratory disease in children. It is a disease whose symptoms can become more burdensome as the pollen season gets longer due to climate change.
On the occasion of World Asthma Day, the experts of the Austrian Society of Pneumology (ÖGP) emphasise the importance of the correct and earliest possible diagnosis and treatment of childhood asthma. As a basis for this, the first guideline for childhood asthma was recently developed by a task force of the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
