Scientific Advisory Board

  • The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) supervises the LBI for Lung Health and its staff in order to guarantee high quality and internationally competitive scientific work. The SAB plays a consultative role in regard to the quality and relevance of the research program as well as in regard to the academic and professional development of its employers.

Partner organizations

  • Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft
    The LBI for Lung Health is part of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft. The Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft provides financial core funding and assists in organizational and administrative matters.

  • Sigmund Freud University Vienna (SFU)
    The Sigmund Freud University Vienna is a private medical school accredited in 2015. The LBI for Lung Health cooperates with the SFU in degree courses with several students conducting their master thesis within the LEAD study program. The SFU provides in-kind support to the institute in form of personnel, working space at the university campus, and access to the services of the university library.

  • The Vienna Healthcare Group
    The Vienna Healthcare Group includes all hospitals and geriatric centres of the City of Vienna and is one of the biggest hospital operators in Europe. It employs nearly 30.000 people, who provide service for about 395.000 inpatients and 3.1 million outpatients. The Vienna Healthcare Group supports the LBI for Lung Health by providing working space for the LEAD Study centre and the offices of the institute at Clinic Penzing.
