Since 2022, she has been medical director of the Department of Respiratory and Pulmonary Diseases at the Hietzing Clinic in Vienna.

She was previously the senior physician in charge of the sleep-breathing center and the outpatient clinic for severe asthma at the Department of Respiratory and Pulmonary Diseases at the Penzing Clinic in Vienna.

In 2021, she successfully defended her habilitation.

She is a founding member as well as scientific director of the LEAD study at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Lung Health.

Since 2018, she is one of the group leader:s of CADSET (Chronic Airway DiSeases Early sTratification), a pan-European network of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) to promote clinical research in chronic respiratory diseases.

Since 2014, she has supervised medical students at Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Wien and the Medical University of Vienna in the preparation of their master’s and diploma theses. As part of the cooperative study program between the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Lung Health, Sigmund Freud University and Maastricht University, the Netherlands, she supervises PhD students.

She has been an adjunct lecturer at the Medical University of Vienna since 2012 and at Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Vienna since 2015.

From 2010 to 2013 she worked in the scientific secretariat of the Austrian Society of Pneumology.

In 2007, she received a long-term ERS fellowship at the Department of Epidemiology and Clinical Research at the International Centre for Advanced Respiratory Medicine (CIMERA) in Spain.
