This was the Annual Congress of the European Respiratory Society 2022
For the first time in three years, the Annual Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) was held again in the familiar hybrid format in Barcelona from 4th to 6th of September 2022.
As in previous years, the focus was on the latest findings in respiratory medicine and respiratory science, which were presented by international experts. The opportunity to discuss new treatment methods, therapies and research results. The team of the LBI for Lung Health was also represented at the congress this year with the latest results of the LEAD Study. In total, our team presented 9 posters and gave 3 oral presentations on a wide range of topics.
For example, the team highlighted the factors for especially good lung function and possible starting points for prevention models and showed how persistent eosinophils, one of the markers for obstructive lung disease (or asthma), are in the blood.
We would like to thank our supporters and are already looking forward to the next ERS annual conference, which will take place in Milan from 9th to 13th of September 2023.
